Holland's tree care work is run by qualified arborists, not by ground crew with a chainsaw. We carry out crown lifting, crown reduction, deadwooding, formative pruning, hazard limb removal, full removal and stump grinding across commercial properties, body corporate sites, schools, retail centres and roadsides throughout the Auckland region. The team works to NZ Arboricultural Industry Best Practice, with proper rigging, traffic management where needed, and full health and safety documentation provided to your facilities team or main contractor before work starts. Our cherry picker, chippers and stump grinders are run by ticketed operators, not bystanders.

Auckland Council's tree protection rules under the Unitary Plan are real and enforced. We don't touch protected trees, scheduled trees or significant natives without checking the consent status first. If a tree on your site is protected and needs work, we coordinate with a consulting arborist to prepare the application and supply the supporting evidence (tree assessment, photographs, pruning specification) so council can sign off on the work. For body corporates and property managers, this matters because non-compliant tree work draws fines and reputational risk; we route around that by working through the proper channel from day one.

For ongoing tree management on larger commercial portfolios, we offer scheduled arborist inspections that flag declining trees, structural defects, root issues and target hazards before they become incidents. The output is a written report, a prioritised action list and a costed program of works that you can take to your committee or owner. Trees on commercial sites in Auckland age, rot and fail just like anywhere else; the difference is the public liability exposure when one drops on a parked car or a footpath. Proactive arborist inspection is cheaper than reactive insurance claims, and we run the program for clients who've worked it out.

Where removal is the right call, we plan it carefully. Drop zones, access for the chipper, services overhead and underground, neighbouring properties, traffic flow and pedestrian safety all get worked through before the first cut. Difficult removals on tight commercial sites are dismantled section by section with rigging, not felled. Stumps are ground out below grade and the area backfilled and tidied. Where you want a replacement tree, we'll specify, source and plant it as part of the same job.
