Hard Landscaping & Paving
Paving, retaining walls, concrete and outdoor hard surfaces built for commercial sites that see real traffic and real weather.
Surfaces that hold up, not just look good on day one.
Hard landscaping on a commercial site is structural work, not decorative. The surfaces need to handle vehicle crossings, foot traffic from hundreds of people a day, Auckland's wet winters, and the seasonal movement that clay-heavy soils create. Holland's hard landscaping crews understand this. We specify materials and sub-base preparation to match the actual load and drainage conditions on your site, not what looks good in a product catalogue.
We install concrete paving, natural stone, porcelain pavers, asphalt, chip-seal and exposed aggregate across commercial entrances, car parks, pedestrian plazas, courtyard areas and service lanes. Retaining wall systems include concrete block, timber, gabion and reinforced concrete, sized and engineered to the height and soil conditions. We also handle kerbing, edging, channel drains, pit drains and subsoil drainage as part of the hard landscaping scope, so the water goes where it's supposed to go from day one.
Every hard landscaping job starts with a site assessment to confirm ground conditions, services locations and level constraints before any pricing goes out. We work from structural drawings where they exist or produce basic construction drawings in-house for straightforward jobs. Fixed-price quotes against a defined scope, with clear programme dates and weekly progress updates during the build. No scope creep conversations mid-project.
For body corporates and strata properties, hard landscaping work is often paired with a maintenance handover plan covering joint sand, sealing schedules and inspection cycles. A well-installed hard surface that gets basic care will look the same in ten years as it did on handover. We can put that on paper so the body corporate committee has something to work from when the original crew isn't there to answer questions.
